Google Picnic

I just got back from the Google Picnic that was held at the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery. I did the uplighting for the main tent that band was playing in. It was a really dark area that definitely needed to be lit up. As you can see, all the Google colors are represented in the curtains and the stage lighting. I actually got to hang around and mingle with the Google Seattle crew. They were lots of fun and great sports, getting involved in all the activities that were spread around the area. Lots of food, games, and (although I do not drink), LOTS of Wine. lol Enjoy.

LIGHT IT UP!

Here is an example of some uplighting I provided for a wedding recently. It was Purple and Jade with a custom Gobo with the Bride & Grooms initials on the pipe & drape.

LET THEM EAT CAKE

Another way to approach the traditional cake cutting is to have the main cake cut into slices and ready to be served to the guests ahead of time. When everyone has their cake, the Bride & Groom feed each other, after that, have the guests feed a small slice to the person next to them. It makes the wedding very interactive, memorable, and fun.

Compliments, Compliments, Compliments

EVERY Bride wants the center of attention at her wedding. If you are one of the lucky people who have been specially chosen to attend a wedding, make sure you tell the Bride she looks beautiful and the Groom that he looks awesome.

YOU GOT SERVED

This one is for the Bride & Groom. Make sure you coordinate with someone to have your food served to you at your table first if it is a buffet style wedding. It is YOUR SPECIAL DAY, and you should be the center of attention, not at the center of the buffet line serving yourself.

AMY B FEATURES NICK STYLES

Today I got an e-mail from Amy B of Amy B Photography. She said that she had featured me on her blog today. She was the photographer for a wedding that I was the DJ for. It was a really festive and fun event. Check it out. Thanks Amy.

Tory & Elise Swedlund Wedding

My preferred vendor Atiya from You Are the Star Weddings was gracious enough to let me perform at this wedding.

Atiya was the planner for this event and the attention to detail was so awesome. The design from the chair covers to the centerpieces were impeccable.

I was able to provide great music, uplighting for the whole room as well as a custom monogram for the couple and was able to make their colors come to life. Enjoy.

Will & Erica Reagan Wedding

I had another amazing wedding this past July. It was such a unique event and I felt very honored to be a part of it. The location on Whidbey Island was breathtaking, secluded and very personal.

What I loved the most about the ceremony was we got there while everyone was setting up and the couple were taking pictures together while NOT being able to see each other. Sounds impossible but it worked.

The reception setup was simple, elegant and their colors popped. They had a Jazz/Swing band called Boy & Bean that really kept the mood hopping. Then we transitioned into the speeches, first dance, & cut right to the dancing.

When it was finally time for the night to come to a close, we led everyone across the street to a Bonfire on the beach. Perfection.

You can see more pictures of this wedding here.

A Neighborly Note

This is so great, I had to post this. This is related to the John & Mackinzi Wedding. My neighbors Kim & John were the reason why I got to be a part of that wedding. When I got home that night, I found this note on my front door from them.

Thanks Kim & John!

John & Mackinzi Darling Wedding

This was a wonderful wedding on a beautiful day in Monroe. I was so happy to be a part of this event. There were so many great moments. During the reception, the room was filled with music, cheer, & love and as the couple took the dance floor for their first dance, the crowd was emotionally moved by the personalized first dance song.

I created a special slideshow for the couple which they loved. They danced through the evening and ended with sparks flying from sparklers that were lit, leading them to a car that was waiting to wisk them away into the night. Congratulations to our Signature Events couple....John & Mackinzi.
